Although I tend not to be into hearts or to do much artwork that is overtly erotic, I decided to join a swap at iATCs where we had to create heart-shaped cards and then do something with them using certain color schemes. I cut out my shapes from watercolor paper, and then just slathered the cards with watercolor paint in my chosen color theme. Then, I sat back and tried to see what forms suggested themselves to me in the arrangement of the paint. For some reason, perhaps it was the colors, I started seeing body shapes. One thing led to another and here we are. I guess it is sort of appropriate for Valentines Day. So, i guess if you have a honey, give him or her a big smooch. Oh, and each of these hearts is 4 by 2 inches in size.
This is just not like me

They’re wonderfully delicate. What is the material you used for the line work: pencil? Such a soft grey.

Hi there, how are you doing? Thanks for the comment. The line work was a combination of using dark brown and grey water-based TomBow markers, gel ink pens and maybe just a tad of grey colored pencil.

These are wonderful: the content goes so well with the shape, and the colours are gorgeous! And though I donĀ“t like the more traditional heart shape, I really like this narrow “folk art” heart shape. Well done! Hugs, Marion
