It has been a while since I took pictures during one of my jaunts with Asha, so last Sunday morning I grabbed my camera when Asha and I headed out. We went to roam the paths next to the governor’s mansion, which is a short drive from our house. At 6:30 in the morning, there was no one else around, so I didn’t worry about letting Asha off leash. It really is a lovely area, with paths, ponds, open fields, rolling hills and trees. When we arrived, there was a lot of mist coming off of the ponds, but it doesn’t show up well in the photos. Asha does not like having her picture taken, so she is pretty serious looking in all of the photos, but I think she had a good time even though I was being very annoying. I love Asha’s eyes too and I agree that they are soulful.
How are you doing? You’ve been in my thoughts.

Re: she's such a beauty
I agree with you about dogs being wonderful and I know we have similar feelings about the creatures with whom we share our lives. Sometimes I really see the age in Asha’s face, like when I am making her take her medication, and it makes me so sad to see her with that tired and frail look of the elderly and to know that some day she will be gone. I grow more and more attached to her with each year we spend together and I know that losing her will absolutely break my heart. I try not to think about that day coming and just enjoy each day.

I like to see all those new pics of Asha, and the one you´ve chosen here is my favourite. An older dog´s face is just more interesting, similar to a human being´s older face. I don´t like baby faces very much. Their cutesy is nothing against the stories of life older faces are telling.
